Manual TIG Welder

Hours: Monday–Thursday, 6:30am–4:00pm
 

On behalf of a very reputable and well-established specialist manufacturing business, I am recruiting for a number of skilled Manual TIG welders.

The Role

You will be responsible for producing high-quality welded components in accordance with engineering drawings, job cards, welding procedures and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, job cards, kitting lists and work instructions.
  • Set up and safely use appropriate welding tools and equipment.
  • Carry out manual TIG welding in accordance with approved procedures and welding schedules.
  • Work to company and external quality standards 
  • Visually inspect completed work and identify any discrepancies.
  • Maintain excellent housekeeping and support Lean 5S principles.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Proven Manual TIG Welding experience on thin materials, generally 0.4mm–3mm.
  • Experience using manufacturing jigs and assembly aids.
  • NVQ Level 3 Welding Engineering apprenticeship.
  • A positive, enthusiastic and "can-do" attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness and ability to learn a variety of processes.
