Manual Turner – Poole – Up to £35,000

You'll be trusted to set and run manual lathes to tight tolerances, with your accuracy relied on every single shift.

As a Manual Turner, your responsibilities will include:

• Setting and operating manual lathes safely to manufacture components
• Working from drawings, standard operating procedures and process control documents
• Meeting production schedules and agreed timescales
• Supporting continuous improvement of quality, products and procedures
• Sharing experience, knowledge and best practice with colleagues
• Raising tooling, resource or process issues to your team leader promptly

As a Manual Turner, your experience will include:

• Experience setting manual lathe machines is an advantage but not essential
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is an advantage but not essential
• An understanding of reading manufacturing drawings is an advantage but not essential
• Basic computer and numerical literacy for data entry and technical drawings
• Experience working to tight tolerances is desirable but not essential
