Responsibilities - Manufacturing Applications Engineer
- Design, develop, and support applications used within a live manufacturing environment
- Own the full application lifecycle: requirements gathering, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing improvement
- Work closely with production, engineering, and IT stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day factory system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Provide ongoing support, maintenance, and optimisation of manufacturing systems and applications
- Manage and prioritise incidents, ensuring critical issues are resolved efficiently
- Collaborate with wider infrastructure and IT teams to ensure system stability and scalability
- Build strong relationships with internal users, delivering a high standard of customer support
Qualifications / Experience - Manufacturing Applications Engineer
- Experience in software development (e.g. C#, .NET, or similar technologies)
- Knowledge of databases and/or web-based application development
- Exposure to manufacturing, industrial, or production environments is highly advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
- Ability to translate user requirements into practical solutions
- Comfortable working both independently and within a small, collaborative team
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
