Elevation Recruitment Group are exclusively supporting a leading precision engineering manufacturer in their search for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their growing engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of manufacturing processes, drive automation projects and play a key role in improving production performance within a highly specialised machining environment.
Working alongside engineering and production teams, you'll lead manufacturing improvement initiatives, optimise machining processes and support the introduction of new products while helping shape the future of the site's manufacturing capability.
Day to Day Responsibilities as the Manufacturing Engineer- Optimise machining processes to improve productivity, quality and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
- Identify and implement cycle time reductions, tooling improvements and waste elimination initiatives
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI), ensuring smooth transition from design into production
- Develop and refine machining strategies for complex precision components
- Lead tooling selection, process development and equipment optimisation
- Drive continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing projects to reduce cost and improve efficiency
- Analyse manufacturing data and report on process performance and cost savings
- Collaborate with production, quality and engineering teams to deliver strategic improvement projects
- Experience within a medium to high volume precision engineering or advanced manufacturing environment
- Strong CNC machining and manufacturing engineering knowledge
- Experience developing machining strategies and improving manufacturing processes
- Programming experience using Edgecam, Mastercam or Vericut across 3, 4 or 5-axis machining
- Knowledge of advanced machining technologies such as twin spindle or mill-turn machinery
- Experience of controls such as Okuma OSP, Mazatrol or Fanuc would be advantageous
- Exposure to ABB robotics, Renishaw probing or Mitutoyo CMM programming would be beneficial
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate manufacturing costs and performance
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage projects and work independently
- Salary depending on experience
- Monday to Friday days role with negotiable working hours
