Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE

Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer looking for an opportunity to work on complex, high-precision components within a highly technical manufacturing environment?

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with an established specialist manufacturer in Rotherham, supplying precision-engineered components into the aerospace sector. Due to continued investment and growth, they are looking to appoint a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and improvement of manufacturing processes.

As Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in developing manufacturing methods, supporting new product introductions and providing technical expertise to the production team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating and developing manufacturing methods and processes.
  • Designing and developing work-holding solutions, including technical drawings.
  • Simulating CNC programmes using Vericut.
  • Providing shop floor support during new process and product prove-outs.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Producing technical production documentation, including SOPs, tooling sheets and inspection sheets.
  • Providing technical support and expertise to the production team.
  • Applying knowledge of special processes, heat treatments and coatings.
  • Supporting measurement and inspection activities.
  • Providing technical support to project and commercial teams.
  • Identifying risks, issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Supporting continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.

We're looking for someone with a strong manufacturing engineering background who is confident working in a precision engineering environment.

You'll ideally have:

  • A degree in Manufacturing Engineering or an apprentice-trained equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role.
  • Experience with CNC programming and Vericut simulation.
  • CAD/CAM experience.
  • Previous experience within the aerospace or defence sector.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
  • A proactive approach and a genuine interest in improving manufacturing processes.
