Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Rotherham
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 DOE
Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer looking for an opportunity to work on complex, high-precision components within a highly technical manufacturing environment?
Elevation Recruitment Group are working with an established specialist manufacturer in Rotherham, supplying precision-engineered components into the aerospace sector. Due to continued investment and growth, they are looking to appoint a Manufacturing Engineer to support the development and improvement of manufacturing processes.

As Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in developing manufacturing methods, supporting new product introductions and providing technical expertise to the production team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and developing manufacturing methods and processes.
- Designing and developing work-holding solutions, including technical drawings.
- Simulating CNC programmes using Vericut.
- Providing shop floor support during new process and product prove-outs.
- Interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Producing technical production documentation, including SOPs, tooling sheets and inspection sheets.
- Providing technical support and expertise to the production team.
- Applying knowledge of special processes, heat treatments and coatings.
- Supporting measurement and inspection activities.
- Providing technical support to project and commercial teams.
- Identifying risks, issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
We're looking for someone with a strong manufacturing engineering background who is confident working in a precision engineering environment.
You'll ideally have:
- A degree in Manufacturing Engineering or an apprentice-trained equivalent.
- Previous experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role.
- Experience with CNC programming and Vericut simulation.
- CAD/CAM experience.
- Previous experience within the aerospace or defence sector.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
- A proactive approach and a genuine interest in improving manufacturing processes.
