The Role
You will be working with a range of industrial equipment producing high-quality stainless steel tubular, wire and steel components to customer specifications.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting and operating production machinery including auto-saws, guillotines, brake presses and tube bending equipment
- Ensuring products are manufactured accurately, efficiently and to agreed production targets
- Supervising and overseeing work carried out by colleagues using equipment you have prepared and set up
- Carrying out routine tool and equipment maintenance in line with company procedures
- Supporting wider manufacturing activities including wire work, assembly operations and press work as workload requires
- Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping throughout the production environment
- Previous experience setting and operating machinery within a manufacturing, fabrication or engineering environment
- Supervisory experience or the ability to oversee and guide colleagues on production processes a distinct advantage
- Good mechanical aptitude and strong attention to detail
- Experience with NC-controlled equipment would be advantageous, although programming experience is not essential
- A background in engineering would be highly beneficial
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new processes and equipment
