MANUFACTURING OPERATIVE

HUDDERSFIELD, BRADLEY

AFTERNOONS OR NIGHTS

PERMANENT

Our client is a large manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Huddersfield, Bradley, and due to continued growth and expansion, they require a number of well versed manufacturing operatives to work across either permanent afternoon or night shifts.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring compliance with the Company Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Policies, reporting any potentially dangerous issues/faults to your direct Team Leader or Production Manager including but not limited to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

To ensure quality products are produced in the required quantity, on time, and at the lowest possible cost, in a manner in keeping with the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures of the company.

Demonstrate a positive attitude to training and personal development.

Monitor the performance of the process ensuring maximum output is always achieved.Carry out and document the correct quality control checks for each job performed, completing all production paperwork.

Work as a team to ensure departmental targets, company targets and customer deadlines are achieved.

Experience

• Good level of numeracy and basic knowledge of computers
• Manufacturing background and understanding of manufacturing process
• Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and have a keen eye for detail and must possess a positive working attitude
• Ability to work well as part of team and communicate with other workers

You will....

• Operate machinery within given parameters and instructions
• Working to written instructions and adhering to manufacturing tolerances
• Using various types of machinery to complete the assembly build.
• Understanding and working in accordance with the company H&S directives
• Identifying continuous improvements (5S) as part of the team objective
• Operate within the boundaries of the company quality system to ensure the requirements of the company accreditations are supported.

The positions available are permanent afternoons and permanent nights...

Afternoons...

2pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday and 11.30am to 5pm on Friday

Nights.....

10pm to 6pm Monday to Thursday and 5pm 10pm on Friday

So early finishes on both shifts on Friday's......

In return you can expect an hourly rate of £13.45 per hour plus shift allowance of either 20% or 30%  - giving a salary of upto £34,095 plus a fantastic benefits package including 35 days holiday.
