Salary: £32,000 per annum (inclusive of rotating AM/PM shifts)

Key Responsibilities
Machine Setup & Operation
- Support the preparation and setup of tooling and machinery for daily production runs.
- Assist operators with safe machine operation and equipment changeovers.
- Carry out routine checks to ensure machines run within required performance parameters.
- Conduct visual inspection of high‑value metals and engineered components.
- Identify defects, wear, damage, or any non‑conforming parts.
- Monitor product quality throughout each stage of manufacture.
- Use precision measurement tools—gauges, verniers, calipers, micrometers—to verify accuracy and tolerances.
- Perform regular machine maintenance, including lubrication and basic adjustments.
- Ensure all equipment is operated safely and in line with engineering procedures.
- Report issues promptly and contribute to continuous improvement activities.
- Background in precision engineering or general manufacturing.
- Strong interest in mechanical processes, tooling, and engineering environments.
- Confident using measurement and inspection tools.
- Able to follow technical instructions and maintain high levels of accuracy.
- Formal engineering training or a completed apprenticeship.
- Experience in tooling, machining, or component inspection.
- Understanding of quality standards and modern manufacturing best practice.
- £32,000 annual salary, includes rotating AM/PM shift allowance.
