Portfolio Procurement has been engaged by our leading Buckinghamshire based client to recruit for a Buyer.

This is a great opportunity for someone to grow and learn in a fast-moving business that is open to supporting the successful candidate in the journey to complete CIPS.

Key responsibilities:

• Manage, raise and process all purchase orders
• Source and negotiate key items with suppliers
• Ensure orders are progressing in a timely and effective manner
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand current and upcoming purchasing requirements
• Support with company indirect purchases
• Research and source alternative means of supply for urgent requirements.

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in a Purchasing or Buying role
• Ideally part qualified in CIPS or with a willingness to complete with company support
• Experience with an ERP/MRP system
• Some knowledge of import/export procedures
• Good IT skills including Excel
• Strong attention to detail
• Good communication skills
