My client are a specialist manufacturer delivering high-quality products to demanding customers across a range of industries. With a strong focus on quality, service and continuous improvement, the business is looking for an experienced Manufacturing Project Manager to take ownership of a key customer programme. You will be involved in managing one of the clients biggest clients when it comes down to the end to end delivery of projects.
The Role
- Take end-to-end ownership of customer manufacturing programmes, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Act as the main operational point of contact for a key customer, managing relationships, expectations and regular programme reviews.
- Coordinate activities across Engineering, Production, Planning, Procurement, Quality and Logistics to ensure the smooth delivery of manufacturing programmes.
- Monitor production schedules, materials availability, work-in-progress and delivery performance, proactively identifying and resolving operational challenges.
- Drive continuous improvement, cost control and quality initiatives, ensuring manufacturing efficiency and customer satisfaction remain at the forefront.
- 5 years' project or programme management experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Proven experience managing complex manufacturing programmes involving multiple departments, production processes and supply chain dependencies.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, materials management and quality assurance.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems to manage production orders, manufacturing schedules and work-in-progress.
- Excellent customer relationship management, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive accountability.
