Contract length: 6-month rolling contract (with potential to go permanent)

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services is currently recruiting for a Manufacturing Quality Technician to join a World leader offering Products, Solutions and Services across the entire Energy value chain on behalf of a well established manufacturing organisation to play a key role in supporting Manufacturing Operations. You will shape a competitive, sustainable supply chain, partnering globally to drive productivity, quality, and digitalization.

The Manufacturing Quality Technician (Contract) is a hands-on quality expert responsible for reviewing and approving inspection reports, writing clear SOPs, and managing non-conformance processes (CAPA) to keep production compliant.
This role blends daily quality verification with process optimization—leveraging tools like 5S, TPM, SAP, and the Zeiss PiWeb database—to streamline inspection workflows, support NADCAP audit readiness, and ensure high standards across castings, machined components, and additive manufacturing parts.

Some of the duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Review, validate, and approve technical inspection reports to ensure manufactured parts comply with strict quality and accuracy standards.

  • Act as the technical point of contact for team members, offering guidance on manufacturing quality issues and inspection standards.

  • Manage and optimize the Zeiss PiWeb inspection database and associated quality workflows.

  • Maintain clean quality records and data integration across enterprise tools (e.g., SAP ERP) and internal platforms.

  • Manage non-conformances by driving Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes to resolve issues and prevent repeat defects.

  • Ensure department readiness for internal and external audits, including compliance with high-spec standards like NADCAP.

  • Author, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and Quality Management System (QMS) documentation.

  • Identify, lead, and support process optimization initiatives within the inspection area.

  • Execute and promote 5S (workplace organization) and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) routines to maintain high operational standards.

  • Develop and monitor key quality metrics, departmental KPIs, and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) indicators to drive performance visibility.

Essential Requirements:

  • Broad background in manufacturing quality, including non-conformance handling and thorough review/approval of inspection documentation.

  • Proven ability to write, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and QMS documentation.

  • Experience supporting Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes to investigate root causes and resolve non-conformances.

  • Strong practical knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, specifically 5S and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) routines.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, lead, and support process improvement initiatives within an inspection or manufacturing environment.

  • Competence using enterprise software (such as SAP) and standard Microsoft Office platforms.

  • Ability to track and work with departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) metrics.

  • Excellent diligence, integrity, and commitment to delivering accurate, high-quality inspection records.

  • Strong collaborative skills to work across departments, serve as an inspection point-of-contact, and implement solutions.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience inspecting castings, additive manufacturing (3D-printed) components, and precision machined parts.

  • Practical experience using, organizing, and maintaining the Zeiss PiWeb inspection database and its associated workflows.

  • Strong, direct experience navigating SAP for quality management, document tracking, and ERP workflows.

  • Familiarity with NADCAP procedures, quality compliance standards, and active participation in NADCAP audits (highly relevant for aerospace and high-precision engineering).

  • Prior experience participating directly in formal internal and external quality system audits.
