A globally recognised aerospace manufacturer in Chalgrove is recruiting a Manufacturing Stores Operative to join its team on a permanent basis.

This is a role that sits right at the heart of production — keeping materials, components and finished goods moving efficiently through a busy aerospace facility. It’s hands-on, physical work in an environment where accuracy and reliability directly impact what gets out of the door.

The Role

• Packing parts, components and products to primary and final standard, meeting customer and technical requirements

• Checking batch numbers, part descriptions and quantities against SAP, raising any discrepancies promptly

• Making sure goods leave the building correctly packed, clearly labelled and properly addressed

• Working with logistics and shipping teams to keep dispatch on track and to schedule

• Picking, packing and issuing materials and stock from Detail Stores and Raw Material Stores

• Booking in materials, goods and stock received from the factory floor and external suppliers

• Moving goods around the site safely using forklift trucks, electric pallet stackers and scissor lift equipment

• Supporting Raw Material Stores activity including saw operation and basic measurement inspection

• Completing self-inspection and quality checks in line with procedures

• Getting involved in 5S and continuous improvement activities

• Working safely and in full compliance with H&S regulations at all times

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in stores, packing or warehousing in a manufacturing environment — desirable but not essential

• Methodical and structured, with a keen eye for detail

• Physically fit and comfortable keeping pace in a busy, fast-moving environment

• A clear communicator who takes instructions on board and follows them accurately

• Basic IT skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)

• GCSE Maths and English or equivalent

• Full UK driving licence desirable — full forklift truck training provided for the right candidate
