Manufacturing Technician - PCB Assembly

We seek an experienced electronics assembler/wiring person for a permanent opportunity in Worthing, previous experience in a similar role is essential as is the ability to work on a wide range of production projects with minimal supervision, 

  • Wiring of assemblies, looms, panels, connectors, and electro-mechanical units
  • Reading and working from engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and build instructions
  • Hand soldering and rework where required
  • Mechanical assembly and box-build work
  • Fitting connectors, sleeving, heatshrink, cable ties, labels, and protective coverings
  • Carrying out visual inspection of own work to ensure high standards of workmanship

Manufacturing Technician - other skills/knowledge required:

  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials
  • Good understanding of wiring, crimping, soldering, and cable assembly techniques
  • Ability to consistently produce high-quality, defect-free work
  • Experience in an electronics, electrical, manufacturing, or assembly environment would be beneficial
  • Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment would be an advantage

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Basic computer literacy
  • Awareness of IPC standards would be an advantage
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620, IPC J-STD-001, or IPC-A-610 certification would be beneficial but not essential, as training may be provided
