Marine Project Manager

Aldwych Consulting

Are you a specialist maritime civil engineer?

This one is perfect for a Marine Project Manager who can take ownership of complex, high‑risk marine and coastal infrastructure projects. This isn't a role for a generalist Project Manager, it's for someone who understands the realities of delivering in tidal, weather‑affected, highly regulated environments and can lead a programme with clarity, discipline and technical credibility.

You'll be the driving force behind planning, sequencing, marine logistics, specialist subcontractor management and client engagement. If you thrive in environments where precision, foresight and calm leadership matter, this is the kind of project that will genuinely stretch and reward you.

What You'll Lead

  • Delivery of marine structures: quays, jetties, dolphins, breakwaters, cofferdams, piling over water and marine foundations
  • Daily coordination of marine plant, vessels, jack‑ups, barges and specialist subcontractors
  • Programme ownership, including tidal windows, weather contingencies and marine lift planning
  • Compliance with marine licences, environmental permits, harbour authority rules and CDM
  • Commercial management under NEC (EWNs, CE management, forecasting, change control)
  • Technical oversight of temporary works, marine lifts, fabrication tolerances and constructability
  • Stakeholder engagement with port authorities, regulators, designers, divers and marine specialists
  • Leadership of site teams, ensuring safety, quality and productivity remain consistently high

What You Bring

  • Proven experience delivering marine or heavy civil engineering works in coastal or port environments
  • Strong planning capability (Primavera P6 preferred) with a realistic, practical approach to sequencing
  • Deep understanding of marine construction methods and constraints
  • Confidence managing specialist subcontractors and complex interfaces
  • Strong commercial awareness and NEC contract experience
  • Ability to remain composed, structured and decisive in unpredictable conditions
  • High-quality documentation, reporting and governance discipline
  • A delivery mindset... someone who drives progress rather than oversees it

Why Join
You'll be part of a contractor with a strong marine pipeline, modern marine plant, and a reputation for delivering technically challenging projects. Expect autonomy, support from a highly capable engineering team, and the chance to lead work that genuinely shapes coastal infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Marine specialist.
