SF Partners are recruiting for an experienced and driven Marketing Manager to join a successful and growing business within the manufacturing and distribution sector.
This is a key role within the organisation, taking ownership of the company's brand and leading the wider marketing function. You will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging marketing activity across brand, content, social media, campaigns, events and exhibitions, while managing and developing the marketing team.
Working closely with Sales and specialist E-commerce, SEO and Paid Media teams, you will ensure marketing activity is commercially focused, consistent and aligned with the wider growth objectives of the business.
This opportunity would suit a hands-on Marketing Manager who combines creativity with strong commercial awareness and enjoys turning ideas into effective campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Marketing Strategy
- Take ownership of the company brand, ensuring a strong and consistent identity across all customer touchpoints.
- Develop and maintain brand standards across digital, print, signage, vehicles, workwear and customer-facing materials.
- Develop creative campaigns and initiatives to increase brand awareness and engagement.
- Manage branded merchandise, promotional materials and external creative suppliers where required.
- Ensure marketing activity supports the wider commercial strategy and business objectives.
Campaigns, Content & Social Media
- Develop and deliver the overall marketing, content and social media strategy.
- Manage activity across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
- Oversee the creation of engaging photography, video, written and creative content.
- Plan and deliver integrated campaigns supporting key products, sectors and customer groups.
- Work closely with Sales to understand commercial priorities and identify marketing opportunities.
- Support new product launches and wider business initiatives.
- Monitor campaign and social performance, using insight to continually improve activity.
Digital Collaboration
- Work closely with E-commerce, SEO and Paid Media specialists to ensure campaigns are aligned across all channels.
- Ensure brand messaging and creative remain consistent across the website, organic activity and paid campaigns.
- Share product, customer and campaign insight with specialist teams to support performance.
- Coordinate activity across teams to ensure campaigns are delivered effectively.
Please note: direct management of SEO, PPC and E-commerce does not form part of this role.
Events & Exhibitions
- Lead marketing activity for trade shows, exhibitions and customer events.
- Coordinate stand branding, promotional materials, merchandise and supporting campaigns.
- Partner with Sales to maximise customer engagement and lead generation.
- Review event performance and return on investment.
Team Leadership
- Lead, manage and develop the marketing team.
- Set clear objectives, responsibilities and KPIs.
- Manage workloads, priorities and project deadlines.
- Conduct regular one-to-ones and support individual development.
- Create a positive, creative and commercially focused team environment.
- Ensure the team understands wider business objectives and marketing's role in achieving them.
Commercial & Business Support
- Build strong relationships across Sales and other commercial teams.
- Use customer and market insight to improve marketing activity.
- Support lead generation, customer retention and sales growth.
- Manage marketing spend effectively and ensure activity delivers value.
- Report on marketing performance and KPIs to senior management.
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends and emerging opportunities.
About You
We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager who is confident taking ownership of a brand while leading a busy marketing function.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a Marketing Manager or similar senior marketing position.
- Strong experience across brand management, campaigns, content and social media.
- Previous experience managing and developing a marketing team.
- A hands-on approach and the ability to take projects from idea through to delivery.
- Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of how marketing supports sales and business growth.
- Excellent organisation and project management skills.
- Confidence working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Experience managing budgets, suppliers and external agencies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to measure and report on marketing performance.
Experience within B2B, manufacturing, construction, trade or distribution would be particularly advantageous, alongside exposure to e-commerce, CRM/email marketing, product launches and trade shows or exhibitions.
