An established and growing UK construction company is looking for a Marketing Manager to lead and shape its marketing function. This is a varied, hands-on role with genuine strategic input, ideal for someone who enjoys getting close to the business, working across multiple channels, and seeing their ideas through from concept to delivery.
Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director, you will take ownership of the marketing strategy and manage a small in-house creative team, while working closely with sales colleagues and the wider group marketing function. The business delivers complex, high-specification projects for clients across the UK, and this role plays a central part in building brand visibility, generating enquiries and supporting the sales team with the content and tools they need.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the marketing strategy, aligned to sales targets and budgets
- Plan and manage multi-channel campaigns across digital, print, web and social media
- Lead the creation of written, visual and video content, and oversee brand consistency
- Manage and develop a small in-house graphic design and content team
- Coordinate photography, video and content capture across live projects
- Plan and deliver events, from industry conferences through to project stakeholder engagements
- Develop PR opportunities and manage relationships with industry press
- Oversee SEO/SEM performance and report on marketing effectiveness
- Manage the marketing budget and report on performance monthly
- Manage relationships with freelancers, agencies and subcontractors
Ideal Candidate Profile
You will have at least four years' experience in a marketing role with broad, hands-on responsibility, ideally gained across both B2B and public sector audiences. Comfortable moving between strategic planning and practical delivery, you will bring strong campaign and content experience together with proven events management and team leadership skills. Proficiency in Adobe InDesign is essential, and familiarity with WordPress, SEO/SEM principles, or photography and video production would be an advantage.
You will be proactive, organised and adaptable, with the confidence to take ownership of projects and a collaborative, people-centred mindset for working closely with sales and senior stakeholders.
Package & Benefits
A competitive salary is on offer, along with a strong benefits package, wellbeing support, and a genuinely supportive, people-focused working environment. Full details will be discussed with the shortlisted candidates.
