Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Master Production Scheduler to step into a highly visible role where you can make a real impact on operational performance, systems improvement and overall business success.

We’re looking for a proactive Master Production Scheduler to take ownership of planning, scheduling and materials control within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This is a pivotal role where you’ll balance customer demand with operational capacity—ensuring materials are in place, machines are utilised effectively, and deliveries hit target every time. You’ll also act as the go-to expert for the Manufacturing Execution System, driving system improvements, data accuracy and wider adoption across the business.

Key accountabilities as Master Production Scheduler / Production Planner:

  • Plan and control materials and inventory to support efficient production flow
  • Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring supplier performance meets deadlines
  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors, proactively resolving issues
  • Optimise machine utilisation and throughput across production
  • Generate weekly/monthly reports on labour, materials and revenue forecasts
  • Take a lead on Manufacturing Execution System (MES) optimisation, improving data integrity and system usage across planning, maintenance and quality
  • Analyse performance data to drive continuous improvement

To succeed in this interesting scheduling/planning role, you will ideally have:

  • Experience in production planning, materials planning or supply chain coordination
  • Any experience within a low volume, high variety or bespoke manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of MRP / ERP
  • Any MES (Manufacturing Execution System) systems experience alongside ERP / MRP experience ideal but not essential.
  • Confident working with data, reporting and analysis
  • Excellent organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communicator—comfortable working with suppliers and production teams
  • Ability to work under pressure and drive results
