Elevation Recruitment Group

Master Scheduler
Sheffield | Regulated Manufacturing | Permanent
Up to £44,000 base salary

Elevation Recruitment Group is working exclusively with a well-established regulated manufacturer based in Sheffield to appoint an experienced Master Scheduler. This is a fantastic opportunity for a scheduling or planning professional ready to step into a leadership role, taking ownership of longer-term, strategic production planning while managing a small team of two.

The Role

As Master Scheduler, you will move beyond day-to-day reactive scheduling to develop robust, longer-term production plans that balance capacity, demand, and regulatory requirements. You'll lead and develop a team of two schedulers/planners, and act as the primary point of contact for the site's ERP system, ensuring data integrity and driving best practice in its use across the planning function.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining strategic, longer-term master production schedules aligned to demand forecasts and capacity constraints
  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of two planners/schedulers
  • Acting as the go-to expert and super-user for the ERP system, supporting colleagues and troubleshooting issues
  • Working cross-functionally with production, procurement, quality, and supply chain to ensure schedule feasibility
  • Identifying and resolving potential bottlenecks, capacity constraints, and material shortages ahead of time
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards throughout the planning process
  • Driving continuous improvement in scheduling processes and system utilisation

About You

  • Proven experience as a Master Scheduler, Senior Production Planner, or similar within a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g. automotive, medical devices, aerospace, or similar)
  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems, with the confidence to act as a subject matter expert
  • Experience managing or leading a small team, or clear readiness to step into a leadership role
  • A strategic mindset, comfortable planning beyond short-term firefighting
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to work confidently across departments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
