Stores Person - Day/Back Shift

Location: West of Scotland Science Park
Pay: £13.25 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week

Are you organised, reliable, and comfortable working in a busy Goods In and Stores environment? We're hiring a Material Handler to join our team at the West of Scotland Science Park.

What You'll Be Doing:

You'll be responsible for the accurate receipt, checking, storage and movement of incoming materials across the site. Key duties include:

  • Receiving and processing incoming goods.
  • Checking deliveries against purchase orders to confirm the correct items and quantities have been received.
  • Checking goods for damage, discrepancies or missing items and reporting any issues.
  • Booking incoming goods accurately using the Kardex system.
  • Recording and maintaining accurate goods-receiving information.
  • Allocating and storing materials in the appropriate locations.
  • Maintaining accurate physical and system stock records.
  • Ensuring materials are stored securely and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards across the Goods In and Stores areas.
  • Following all Health & Safety, quality, and operational procedures.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous stores, warehouse, Goods In, materials handling or manufacturing experience is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work independently and as part of a wider team.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support the wider stores operation.
  • Good computer skills and confidence using computerised systems.
  • Ability to check deliveries and documentation against purchase orders.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with Kardex systems is advantageous but not essential.
