Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: Up to £28,500 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 06:00–14:00
Requirements: Valid FLT Licence


The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Material Handler / Cleaner to join a busy Paint Shop environment in Milton Keynes.
This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining high standards of housekeeping and cleanliness across the Paint Shop, while also supporting the efficient movement and organisation of materials and components.
The successful candidate will play an important role in keeping the shop clean, organised and running efficiently, allowing skilled Paint Shop operatives to remain focused on production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out daily high- and low-level cleaning throughout the Paint Shop.
  • Clean booth walls, floors, racking, work surfaces and general shop areas.
  • Carry out wet floor cleaning using designated cleaning machinery.
  • Maintain a high standard of housekeeping to help reduce dust and minimise slip, trip and fall hazards.
  • Move materials and components between the Paint Shop and Production areas.
  • Collect paint, consumables and dry goods from Stores.
  • Unload, organise and maintain deliveries within the Paint Warehouse and Dry Goods areas.
  • Maintain the paint mixing room and paint booths.
  • Support monthly deep cleans and shop overhauls.
  • Move components in and out of paint booths as required.
  • Maintain workstations, trolleys and general shop equipment.
  • Support good 5S standards and ensure materials and equipment are stored correctly.
  • Work safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organised working environment.
About YouThe ideal candidate will have:
  • A valid FLT Licence.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, production or industrial environment is desirable.
  • Good organisational and housekeeping skills.
  • A practical, hands-on approach to work.
  • The ability to move materials and components safely and efficiently.
  • Good attention to detail and a strong focus on maintaining workplace standards.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a wider production team.
  • A strong understanding of workplace health and safety.
  • A reliable and proactive approach to work.
