Material Handling Operator/Spares Engineer in Lincolnshire

📍 Lincoln (Teal Park & Ruston Sites)

Pay: £15.87 per hour PAYE
Contract: 6-Month Rolling Contract
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm (Flexible Start/Finish Times Available)
Start Date: ASAP

We're looking for a proactive and dependable Material Handling Operator / Spares Engineer to join a busy logistics and stores operation in Lincoln. This is a fantastic opportunity to support world-class manufacturing projects while developing your skills within an experienced and supportive team.

Working within a fast-paced warehouse and logistics environment, you'll play a key role in ensuring materials, components, and spares are received, stored, moved, and delivered efficiently to support production activities across multiple sites.

Based primarily at:

📍 Teal Park Road, Lincoln, LN6 3AD

You must be willing to work across both sites when required:

• Teal Park
• Ruston

As part of a 17-person stores and logistics team, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and control of materials used in manufacturing operations.

You'll receive full training and support to ensure you're confident carrying out all aspects of the role.

• Operating forklift trucks to move materials safely around site
• Loading and unloading deliveries
• Receiving, checking and booking goods into SAP
• Picking, packing and kitting materials for production
• Storing stock accurately within warehouse locations and high-rise racking
• Maintaining accurate inventory records
• Operating overhead cranes (training provided where applicable)
• Supporting production teams by ensuring materials are available when needed
• Assisting with resolving material shortages and operational issues
• Following all health, safety and quality procedures

We're looking for someone who enjoys working in a hands-on role, takes pride in accuracy, and thrives in a busy warehouse or logistics environment.

• Previous warehouse, stores or logistics experience
• Forklift truck operating experience
• Basic IT and computer skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable commute to Lincoln and flexibility to work across both sites

• Valid FLT licence or certification
• SAP experience
• Full UK driving licence
• Overhead crane operating experience
• Manufacturing, engineering or industrial experience

• An in-date FLT licence is highly desirable
• Candidates with previous FLT experience may undertake a conversion course if required
• Successful applicants will complete a pre-employment medical assessment
