Our client is a technical consultancy, which acts as the UK satellite for there parent companies International Technical Network. They pride themselves in delivering the highest standard of technical services.
The role will involve working on Research & Development projects, innovative product designs, quality control testing, material performance testing and supporting our pavement investigation team.
Purpose of the role and your responsibilities;
- Sample and prepare all materials necessary for the completion of required tests
- Conduct and assist with site and laboratory pavement investigation and testing in accordance with appropriate national standards
- Record the results of these tests and various other calculations accurately using, where appropriate, the laboratory's computerised information management system
- Ensure reports are accurate and meet the expected levels of technical excellence
- Maintain the retained sample store and a clean site and laboratory equipment to ensure its correct performance
Experience and Skills required;
- Full UK Driving Licence Needed (Manual)
- Knowledge and understanding of pavement materials (Concrete, Asphalt, Hydraulically Bound and Unbound Materials) would be desirable
- Experience in the use of UK standards for pavement materials and their testing
- Ability to work within a team
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear instruction concisely both written and verbal
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Solid IT skills, including experience of Microsoft Office
