Salary: £40,372–£59,864 per annum (M1–UPS3), dependent on experience and qualifications
Contract: Full-time, Long-term Temporary
Start: September 2026 – immediate/as soon as possible

Teach Now is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Mathematics Teacher for a secondary school opportunity in Hertfordshire.

The successful teacher will inspire pupils across KS3 and KS4, building confidence in mathematical reasoning, problem solving and core numeracy while preparing examination groups effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons.
  • Teach across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities depending on experience.
  • Prepare pupils effectively for assessments and GCSE examinations.
  • Use assessment data to identify gaps and target support.
  • Differentiate lessons for pupils of varying attainment.
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour and academic progress.
Requirements
  • UK QTS or recognised equivalent.
  • Degree or strong subject background in Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching the UK secondary curriculum.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management.
  • ECTs and experienced Maths teachers are encouraged to apply.
