Maths & English Tutor

? YEAR 10 1:1 TUTOR NEEDED - RHYL (LL18)

I'm looking for a patient, nurturing and experienced tutor to support a Year 10 young person in Rhyl (LL18).
The young person is currently out of school, has experienced trauma and has significant gaps in their education, alongside high anxiety around returning to education.

The role:

• 2 hours tuition per day
• Maths & English
• Initial focus on relationship building, confidence and re-engagement
• Support to address educational gaps
• GCSE Maths & English knowledge required to progress the young person towards GCSE level once they are ready
• Potential support with their transition back into school

Tuition is likely to take place at the foster carer's home or a local library - location to be confirmed.
This would suit a tutor who understands that building trust comes first, and who can create a calm, supportive environment for a young person who is anxious about education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 14.3% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
