We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Intervention Specialist to join a welcoming and supportive SEN School in Harlow, Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and achieve success in mathematics.

The successful candidate will deliver focused maths intervention support, working closely with students who require additional assistance to develop their confidence, understanding and attainment in maths.

The Role

· Deliver targeted maths intervention sessions for approximately 2 hours per day.
· Support students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including ASD, SEMH and Moderate Learning Difficulties.
· Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to identify student needs and track progress.
· Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit individual learning styles.
· Build positive relationships with students, encouraging engagement, confidence and achievement.
· Monitor and report on student progress and outcomes.

The Ideal Candidate

· Experience delivering maths tuition, intervention programmes or classroom-based maths support.
· A strong understanding of the mathematics curriculum.
· Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is desirable.
· Patient, resilient and nurturing approach.
· Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to motivate and inspire learners who may have experienced challenges within education.
