**Aspire People** is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming specialist SEND school for a passionate and creative **Maths Teacher** to join a small, dedicated team, teaching pupils across **Years 3-11**.
We welcome applications from experienced teachers, **Early Career Teachers (ECTs)**, and unqualified teachers who are looking to gain a teaching qualification while working with us.
This is a highly rewarding opportunity to work in a successful, supportive school with around **50 pupils**, where every member of staff plays a vital role in helping young people achieve their potential. You will plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons, adapting the curriculum and assessments to meet a diverse range of needs, including **Cognition and Learning** and **Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)**, while working alongside therapists and a multidisciplinary team to support every pupil's progress.

# Main Purpose of the Role
To lead and deliver high-quality Mathematics teaching across Years 3-11 within a specialist SEND setting, adapting the curriculum and teaching approaches to meet a wide range of learning needs, including Cognition and Learning and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
# Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated Mathematics lessons for pupils in Years 3-11.
* Adapt curriculum content and resources to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEND.
* Develop practical, sensory and accessible Mathematics learning experiences.
* Mentor and support teaching staff to continually improve Mathematics provision.
* Develop and deliver Mathematics enrichment opportunities alongside vocational and life-skills learning.
* Assess, record and monitor pupil progress using a range of assessment methods.
* Work collaboratively with therapists and multidisciplinary professionals to support pupil outcomes.
* Contribute to transition planning, including preparation for future education, employment and independent living.
* Maintain high standards of behaviour management and safeguarding.
* Support pupils' wider personal development, including life-skills education.
* Contribute to whole-school curriculum development and enrichment activities.
* Build positive relationships with parents, carers and external agencies.
* Maintain accurate records and actively participate in CPD and professional meetings.
# Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), **or**
* An unqualified teacher who wishes to work towards gaining a teaching qualification while in post.
* Evidence of ongoing professional development, particularly in Mathematics and/or SEND.
# Experience
* Experience teaching Mathematics across Years 3-11.
* Experience working with pupils with SEND, including Cognition and Learning needs and ASC.
* Experience adapting curriculum, teaching and assessment to meet individual learning needs.
# Skills and Knowledge
* Excellent knowledge of the Mathematics curriculum across Key Stages 1-4.
* Strong understanding of effective SEND practice.
* Ability to differentiate teaching and learning effectively.
* Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to use assessment information to inform teaching and improve outcomes.
* Creative curriculum planning and engaging lesson delivery.
* Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills.
* Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
