Maths Teacher – September 2026

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Kingston upon Thames from September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an inspirational teacher who is passionate about mathematics and committed to helping students achieve their full potential. Applications are welcomed from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).

The Role

You will:

• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitably experienced candidates.
• Inspire students to develop confidence and enjoyment in mathematics.
• Assess, monitor and support student progress through effective feedback and intervention.
• Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes high expectations and excellent behaviour.
• Contribute to the wider life of the Maths department and school community.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and continually improve teaching and learning.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
• Experience teaching Maths within a UK secondary school (placements considered for ECTs).
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for delivering engaging lessons.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
