An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed full-time Maths Teacher to join a highly successful, co-educational 11–16 state secondary school that has been rated Good by Ofsted. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Maths Teacher to join a successful Mathematics department in a full-time, permanent position, teaching Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4, including GCSE.
The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons across Key Stage 3 and GCSE (Key Stage 4).
- Inspire students to develop confidence, resilience and strong mathematical reasoning skills.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations, supporting them to achieve their full potential.
- Assess, monitor and report on student progress, using assessment to inform planning and targeted intervention.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of students of all abilities, including those with SEND and high prior attainment.
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment where high expectations are maintained.
- Contribute to curriculum development and the continued success of the Mathematics department.
- Participate fully in departmental meetings, parents' evenings, school events and wider school life.
- Maintain high expectations of behaviour, attendance and achievement in line with school policies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the Maths Teacher team continues to deliver outstanding outcomes for students.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
- Strong subject knowledge with the ability to teach GCSE Mathematics.
- A passion for inspiring young people to develop confidence and enjoyment in Mathematics.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and parents.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
