Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
Location: Trentham Lakes, Staffordshire
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £35,000 – £48,000 DOE

Interaction Recruitment are currently working on behalf of a well-established and reputable automotive workshop to recruit an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic. The Role
As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality servicing, repairs and diagnostics across a range of passenger and light commercial vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine vehicle servicing and mechanical repairs
  • Diagnose faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Perform MOT testing where qualified
  • Complete warranty repairs in line with manufacturer standards
  • Conduct Vehicle Health Checks and ensure accurate documentation is completed
  • Work collaboratively with workshop colleagues to meet productivity and quality targets
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship and customer service

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 08:30 – 17:00
  • Overtime available on an ad hoc basis
  • Saturday mornings on a rota when required

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician or Mechanic
  • Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Confident communicator and effective team player
  • Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering high-quality work
