Mechanical Assembly Technician - Ringwood

TeamJobs are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Assembly Technician to join a specialist engineering and manufacturing company based in Ringwood.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong hands-on mechanical assembly and fitting experience who is confident working from engineering drawings and wants to join a skilled manufacturing environment.

The Role:

- Mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly of specialist equipment

- Working from engineering drawings, build instructions and Bills of Materials (BOMs)

- Fitting components including frames, pipework, pumps, valves, instrumentation and machined parts

- Carrying out drilling, tapping, cutting and general bench assembly

- Installing and aligning mechanical components

- Using hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment

- Carrying out basic functional testing

What We're Looking For:

- Previous mechanical assembly experience within manufacturing or engineering

- Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings

- Strong mechanical fitting and practical engineering skills

- Experience using hand tools, power tools and measuring equipment

Experience with electro-mechanical assembly, hydraulics, pneumatics, process pipework or mechanical fault finding would be an advantage. An apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or similar mechanical engineering qualification would also be beneficial.
