We are recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Construction Project Manager to take a leading role in the delivery of major mechanical installation works within the Turbine Hall scope for Units 1 & 2 at Hinkley Point C.

This is a senior, site-focused construction role with responsibility for a significant mechanical package incorporating major equipment, installation activities, subcontractor performance, interfaces, quality, safety, programme and commercial delivery.

You will work closely with Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Quality and Contract Management teams to ensure mechanical works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required technical and quality standards.

We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates from:

Nuclear | Power Generation | Oil & Gas | Petrochemical | Chemical | Pharmaceutical | Automotive Manufacturing | Water | Heavy Industrial | Major Infrastructure | EPC

Previous nuclear experience would be advantageous but is not essential where you can demonstrate strong mechanical construction experience within a large-scale, technically complex or highly regulated industrial environment.

  • Air compressors
  • Rotating equipment
  • Associated balance-of-plant systems

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assess construction readiness before mechanical installation activities commence.
  • Review installation sequences, access requirements, lifting plans and logistics strategies.
  • Review and challenge subcontractor construction methodologies.
  • Validate mechanical erection procedures and installation approaches.
  • Review welding methods, rigging arrangements and NDT requirements.
