Mechanical Contracts Manager
David Leslie Ltd
Mechanical Contracts Manager | Building Services | South West | £60,000–£70,000 + Car or Car Allowance + Benefits Package
An established Mechanical & Electrical Building Services contractor operating across the South West is looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to join its regional delivery team.
The company delivers a varied portfolio of mechanical and M&E projects across healthcare, education, commercial and specialist environments, with typical project values ranging from approximately £500,000 to £3 million.
The business has built a strong reputation across the region and offers the stability of an established contractor, a strong pipeline of work and the opportunity to take genuine ownership of projects from pre-construction through to completion.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager or Senior Mechanical Project Manager looking to build a long-term career within the South West, working on substantial and technically interesting projects within a supportive and collaborative environment.
The successful candidate will be joining a business that values experience, trust and responsibility, with genuine scope to develop within the company as the business continues to grow.
The Role
The Mechanical Contracts Manager will take responsibility for the successful delivery of mechanical building-services projects across the South West.
You will manage projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover, working closely with clients, consultants, main contractors, commercial teams and site-based delivery staff.
The role will suit someone who is comfortable taking full ownership of project delivery, commercial performance, programme, client relationships and the coordination of internal and external teams.
The Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will have strong Mechanical Building Services project delivery experience, ideally gained with a Mechanical or M&E Building Services contractor.
You should have:
- Previous experience within a senior mechanical project or contracts management position
- A strong understanding of mechanical building-services installations
- Experience managing projects from pre-construction through to completion
- Good commercial awareness
- Strong client and main-contractor relationship skills
- Good organisational and communication abilities
- The ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines
- A proactive and commercially focused approach to project delivery
This position would suit an experienced Mechanical Project Manager looking to step into a broader Contracts Management role, or an established Mechanical Contracts Manager seeking a long-term opportunity with a respected South West contractor.
Remuneration
The successful candidate will receive:
£60,000–£70,000 basic salary plus Car or car allowance, and benefits package
The final package will reflect the successful candidate’s experience and background.
