Mechanical Contracts Manager in Leeds, West Yorkshire

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Contract Manager (or a Mechanical Engineer looking to step up into a contract management role) to oversee the delivery and performance of technical maintenance contracts across multiple sites.

The role will involve managing client relationships, supporting site-based teams, ensuring contracts are delivered safely and effectively, and taking responsibility for commercial performance. 

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day delivery and performance of technical maintenance contracts.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients and maintain strong working relationships.
• Monitor planned and reactive works, PPM programmes and overall service delivery.
• Manage contract performance, budgets and profitability.
• Prepare quotations and specifications for additional works, repairs and upgrades.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients and engineering teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and develop existing contracts.
• Support asset management, lifecycle planning and sustainability initiatives.
• Ensure all works comply with relevant health, safety and industry regulations.
• Coordinate multiple sites, priorities and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Previous experience managing mechanical, M&E or technical maintenance contracts.
• Strong commercial awareness, including experience with contract P&L.
• Good knowledge of mechanical building services and associated plant.
• Strong client and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with quotations and additional works.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities.

Desirable: Engineering qualification, IOSH/NEBOSH or similar, and experience within hard FM, M&E or building services.
