Mechanical Design and Integration Engineer - Mobile Surveillance Towers
SRT Marine Systems PLC · Direct employer
The company has a worldwide impact in the marine sector by leading the next generation of maritime domain awareness technologies "MDA", products, and systems that significantly enhance security, safety, environmental protection, and sustainability. Our customers are global and range from the largest national coast guards to individual vessel owners.
We are now entering a new and strategically significant phase of growth, characterised by the expansion of our systems to incorporate Land Border Surveillance Systems. Our new Sovereign Territory Surveillance (STS) Systems will play a crucial role in enhancing civil defence security through the deployment of advanced automated security infrastructures. Utilised by nations worldwide, these technologies facilitate the monitoring of sovereign land borders, thereby strengthening border integrity and national security.
Mechanical Design and Integration Engineer - Mobile Surveillance Towers (Sovereign Territory Surveillance)
We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design and Integration Engineer - Mobile Surveillance Towers
to own the design and development of mobile ruggedised surveillance tower systems deployed across marine and land border environments. You will own the full system design and integration package from concept generation through prototype development, testing, and production, delivering systems capable of operating in some of the harshest environments on earth.
Working closely with other internal SRT teams such as Systems Engineering, Product Management and Project Engineering, you will develop mobile tower structures, sensor payload interfaces, and associated infrastructure that support advanced surveillance capabilities, including radar, EO/IR systems, communications equipment, and autonomous sensors.
The ideal new colleague will be equally comfortable with the design of mechanical and electrical installations, CAD designs and engineering drawings, building and integrating prototypes, and troubleshooting in the field.
Please note - the role of Mechanical Design and Integration Engineer - Mobile Surveillance Towers is a hybrid role, working both in our Bristol office, WFH and site visits to our global customers.
