Mechanical Design Engineer in Sevenoaks, Kent

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a Building Services consultancy delivering commercial fit-out and residential projects at RIBA Stages 4-5.

You'll be working predominantly on projects delivered for M&E contractors, providing detailed mechanical design input through the later stages of project delivery.

This is an initial 3-month contract, with an immediate start available. The preference is for a minimum of three days per week in the Westerham office, although there is some flexibility around the working arrangement.

The Role

You'll be involved in:

• Delivering mechanical Building Services design across commercial and residential projects
• Working primarily across RIBA Stages 4-5
• Producing detailed mechanical design information
• Supporting commercial fit-out schemes
• Working on residential developments
• Delivering design work for M&E contractor-led projects
• Coordinating mechanical requirements with wider Building Services disciplines
• Reviewing and developing technical design information
• Supporting projects through detailed design and delivery stages
• Working closely with engineers, contractors and wider project teams

What They're Looking For

• Strong experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer
• Building Services design experience
• Experience delivering projects through detailed design stages
• Good understanding of RIBA Stages 4-5
• Experience across commercial and/or residential projects
• Ability to produce high-quality mechanical design information
• Strong technical and problem-solving capabilities
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Ideally available to work from the Westerham office at least three days per week

Experience working directly with M&E contractors or contractor-led project teams would be particularly beneficial.
