A well-established and growing engineering manufacturer is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the design and development of innovative engineered products, supporting projects from concept through to production.

The successful candidate will play a key role in solving complex engineering challenges, developing robust design solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products. The role would suit a proactive and hands-on engineer with strong problem-solving abilities and a passion for continuous improvement.

Role & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be proficient in SolidWorks and comfortable taking projects from concept through to manufacture. They should enjoy solving technically challenging engineering problems, working closely with customers, and collaborating within a small, highly skilled engineering team.

• Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software.
• Solve complex engineering challenges rather than repetitive product development.
• Support projects from concept through to manufacture.
• Conduct design reviews, calculations, and engineering analysis.
• Work closely with manufacturing, quality, and project teams to ensure successful product delivery.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in mechanical design engineering role
• Experience working in an engineering environment such as medical, electronic, switchgear etc.
• Previous experience working on electro-mechanical products.
• Strong CAD skills and understanding of engineering principles.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical challenges.
