My client are seeking a Design Engineer to join their engineering team, supporting the design and development of hydraulic and pneumatic systems for a range of customer applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic solutions.
- Produce engineering drawings using CAD software.
- Create and review hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
- Perform basic engineering calculations to validate designs.
- Collaborate with engineering, workshop and operations teams to deliver successful projects.
- Ensure designs comply with health and safety standards and engineering best practice.
About You
Essential
- Degree in Mechanical or Fluid Power Engineering, or equivalent engineering experience
- Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic principles and schematics.
- Experience using CAD software.
- Ability to perform basic mechanical and hydraulic design calculations.
- Good knowledge of health and safety legislation and its practical application.
- Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- Experience using SolidWorks.
- Practical engineering or manufacturing experience.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- IOSH qualification.
Salary - Up to £42,000
