The company designs and builds specialist automated equipment used within precision manufacturing environments, delivering complete turnkey solutions from initial concept through to installation and commissioning.

Mechanical Design Engineers - The Role:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll be involved throughout the full project lifecycle, taking designs from concept through to commissioning.
- Producing 3D mechanical designs and detailed manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
- Designing bespoke components, mechanisms and machine assemblies for automated equipment.
- Assisting with customer requirement and design specifications.
- Selecting materials, purchased components and manufacturing methods to deliver reliable, cost-effective solutions.
- Creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Developing innovative engineering solutions to complex design challenges.
- Supporting prototype development and proof-of-concept activities where required.
- Producing technical documentation and supporting machine build, testing and commissioning.
- Working closely with manufacturing and other engineering disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant machinery legislation, health & safety requirements and engineering standards.
Mechanical Design Engineer - The Person:
We're looking for Mechanical Design Engineers with experience designing bespoke machinery or automation equipment.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience designing special purpose machinery, packaging machinery or automated equipment.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or a similar 3D CAD package.
- An understanding of manufacturing processes and machine design principles.
- Experience producing manufacturing drawings and Bills of Materials.
Experience within medical devices, pharmaceutical manufacturing, thermoforming or regulated industries would be advantageous but is not essential.
Based in Derbyshire, this role is commutable from Derby, Nottingham, Castle Donington, Loughborough, Burton upon Trent, Long Eaton, Coalville and surrounding areas.
