Weโ€™re looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a leading UK Facilities Management provider, supporting a prestigious Pharmaceutical contract in Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a highly regulated, critical environment where reliability, compliance, and operational excellence are essential to site performance.

๐Ÿ”ง What youโ€™ll be doing:

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across mechanical and building services systems

๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Maintaining and repairing HVAC systems, pumps, pipework, pressurised systems, and associated mechanical plant

๐Ÿ” Diagnosing faults and carrying out effective root cause analysis to minimise downtime

โš™๏ธ Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of critical mechanical infrastructure

๐Ÿ“‹ Completing maintenance records, compliance documentation, and reports accurately

๐Ÿฆบ Working in line with GMP standards, health & safety regulations, and site procedures

๐Ÿ“ˆ Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and energy efficiency

๐Ÿค Working closely with clients, stakeholders, and the wider engineering team to maintain service excellence

๐Ÿ‘ทโ€โ™‚๏ธ What weโ€™re looking for:

๐Ÿ”น Mechanical Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship, or equivalent)

๐Ÿ”น Experience within Facilities Management, Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Life Sciences, or other regulated environments

๐Ÿ”น Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, pumps, pipework, and mechanical building services

๐Ÿ”น Proven experience delivering both planned and reactive maintenance

๐Ÿ”น Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving abilities

๐Ÿ”น Strong understanding of health & safety and statutory compliance requirements

๐Ÿ”น Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, critical environment

๐Ÿ”น Good communication and stakeholder management skills

โญ Desirable:

โœ… Experience working within GMP-controlled environments

โœ… Knowledge of pharmaceutical compliance requirements

โœ… Experience using CAFM systems

โœ… IOSH or equivalent health & safety qualification

โœ… Experience supporting energy efficiency and continuous improvement projects
