Connect Appointments is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer to join an established engineering business based in Auchtermuchty but working across distillery sites throughout Scotland.

This is a varied, field-based role for a time-served industrial mechanical engineer - working on pumps, valves, pipework and new equipment installations at client sites across the country.

What's on offer?

  • Full-time permanent position
  • Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm - overtime available
  • £17 to £20 per hour - dependent on experience
  • Company van (business use only) and laptop provided

As a Mechanical Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Working on pumps, valves and pipework across client distillery sites
  • Splitting and reassembling pipework to a high standard
  • Carrying out confined space work where required
  • Installing and commissioning new equipment
  • Maintaining accurate records and working safely at all times

To be considered as a Mechanical Engineer, you will need:

  • A time-served industrial mechanical engineering background is essential
  • Previous experience working in industrial environments such as distilleries, manufacturing or process plants is advantageous
  • A valid driving licence is essential
  • The ability to live within reasonable travel distance of the Auchtermuchty workshop
