Location: Holborn, London
Salary: £47,000 per annum
Hours: Monday – Friday | Rotating Shifts (7:00am – 4:00pm & 10:00am – 7:00pm)

We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our established engineering team at a prestigious corporate office building in the heart of Holborn. The Role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of mechanical building services, ensuring all systems operate safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on mechanical plant and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair faults across a range of mechanical building services.
  • Maintain pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, pipework, HVAC systems and associated plant.
  • Complete maintenance records and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Liaise professionally with clients and on-site management.
  • Support the wider engineering team to ensure smooth day-to-day building operations.
  • Participate in the on-call rota.

Working Pattern

  • Monday to Friday
  • Rotating shifts: 7:00am – 4:00pm - 10:00am – 7:00pm
  • Call Out Rota: 1 week in every 3
  • £100 standby payment plus any applicable call-out payments

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working within commercial building maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical maintenance background.
  • Knowledge of HVAC and mechanical plant.
  • Relevant mechanical qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
