We are looking for a solid, hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join a growing and fast-moving engineering business.

This is a varied role that would suit someone who is technically strong but also enjoys getting involved across different areas of the business. You will be working closely with the wider team and will have the opportunity to get involved in everything from engineering and project work through to customer interaction, exhibitions and supporting the commercial side of the business.

Mechanical Engineer Roles and Responsibilities:

• Working on a range of mechanical engineering projects from concept through to delivery
• Supporting the design, development, testing and improvement of products and systems
• Working closely with internal teams, suppliers and customers
• Getting involved with customer meetings, sales activity and industry exhibitions/shows
• Supporting project planning, coordination and delivery
• Helping to solve technical problems and improve engineering processes
• Taking ownership of work and being able to manage multiple priorities
• Supporting and communicating with colleagues across different functions

Mechanical Engineer Ideal Candidate:

• Strong mechanical engineering background
• A competent and versatile engineer with a practical, hands-on approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable speaking with customers and representing the business at meetings and shows
• Able to work independently while also being a strong team player
