I'm currently supporting a leading fresh food manufacturer supplying major national retailers, who are looking for a Maintenance / Mechanical Engineer to join their site engineering team.

What you'll be doing

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across production and packing lines
  • Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults to minimise downtime
  • Supporting PPM schedules and equipment reliability
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Working within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment to strict hygiene and safety standards
  • Liaising with production teams to keep lines running efficiently


What you'll bring

  • A recognised Mechanical Engineering qualification such as an apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent
  • Proven maintenance experience within an FMCG, food or manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with production machinery
  • Willingness to work a 12-hour rotating shift pattern covering days and nights
  • A proactive, hands-on and safety-first mindset
