Refurbishment and Rebuild Engineer
Mechanical Engineering | Capital Equipment Manufacturing

Our client is a well-established manufacturer of capital equipment machinery, supplying specialist processing equipment to industries worldwide as part of an international engineering group. They are now looking for a Customer Service (Repairs/Refurbishment & Rebuild) Engineer to join their Customer Service Division.

The Role

This is a technical engineering role supporting spares, service, repairs and rebuilds of the company's equipment. You'll produce manufacturing and purchasing information to enable parts to be manufactured or bought, and provide technical support across Sales, Purchasing, Production and the wider Customer Service team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce assembly and manufacturing drawings and 3D CAD models (SolidWorks & PDM), applying GD&T and DFMA principles
  • Create and update parts, BOMs and engineering change notices (ECNs)
  • Issue technical reports on used parts/machines, recommending repair, re-use, or replacement
  • Determine work content for component refurbishment
  • Support the manufacturing facility to ensure products are built on time and to cost
  • Provide technical support to CSD commercial staff and service stations, including occasional site visits
  • Liaise with Production, Purchasing and Engineering to ensure on-time delivery
  • Participate in in-house inspection, FAT (factory acceptance testing), and quality review meetings

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years' experience with progressive responsibility in an Engineering (Service/Repairs/Refurbishment) role
  • Bachelor's Degree, HND, OND or ONC in Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge of 3D CAD (SolidWorks) with associated 2D drawing production
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, DFMA and general mechanical engineering principles
  • Ability to work independently and within a small team, managing multiple tasks
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Experience with hydraulics, welding/fabrication knowledge, or polymer/rubber processing technology would be advantageous, but not essential

This is a great opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys variety — moving between design, technical troubleshooting, and direct customer/production support — within a stable, global engineering business.

The company is offering flexible hours and a competitive salary, please contact Ruth Llewellyn at White Label for more information.
