Description
We are seeking an Entry Level Engineering Research & Development Consultant to join our client’s team. Our client works with leading businesses across the Mechanical Engineering sector and is at the forefront of engineering innovation and technology.
They are recruiting candidates who have a genuine interest in mechanical engineering, technology and innovation. Ideal candidates will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline and a strong interest in understanding how new technologies, processes and engineering solutions are developed.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your technical and commercial skills through industry-leading training and exposure to a wide range of innovative engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Assess technical aspects of mechanical engineering projects and prepare clear technical summaries.
- Identify and assess innovative mechanical engineering projects through technical discussions with engineering teams and businesses.
- Develop an understanding of emerging mechanical engineering technologies, systems, materials and manufacturing processes.
- Support projects across areas including mechanical design, engineering systems, manufacturing, automation and product development.
- Review and understand technical documentation, engineering designs, specifications and project information.
- Continuously develop your technical knowledge across mechanical engineering, technology and innovation.
What We’re Looking For
- A recognised degree at MSc, MEng or PhD level in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- A genuine interest in mechanical engineering, engineering innovation, technology and emerging engineering solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts.
- An interest in areas such as mechanical design, manufacturing, engineering systems, materials, simulation or automation.
Minimum Requirements
- Some work experience within the engineering industry or a technical engineering role, with a good understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Curiosity and a genuine interest in engineering, technology and innovation.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
