This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Cumbria's leading technical education providers, supporting mechanical engineering apprentices as they progress through their qualifications and develop the skills, knowledge, and behaviours required by industry.
Working as part of an established apprenticeship team, you will manage a caseload of learners within your area of expertise, carrying out regular workplace visits, observations, assessments, and progress reviews while working closely with employers to ensure apprentices achieve their full potential.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background within the mechanical engineering sector, hold a Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline, and be passionate about developing others. Previous assessing or apprenticeship experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training and development can be provided for the right individual.

The Role
* Support and assess mechanical engineering apprentices in the workplace
* Work closely with employers to support learner progress and achievement
* Monitor apprentice development against qualification and apprenticeship standards
* Provide coaching, guidance, and support throughout the apprenticeship journey
* Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week
The Person
* Level 3 qualification in a relevant Mechanical Engineering discipline
* Industrial experience within the mechanical engineering sector
* Strong technical knowledge and understanding of mechanical engineering principles
* Full UK Driving Licence
* Passionate about supporting and developing apprentices
* Assessor or verifier qualifications advantageous but not essential as training can be provided
