Salary: £55,000–£75,000 DOE
Hybrid: 2 days working from home

We are working with an established M&E contractor based in Oxford who are looking to add an experienced Mechanical Estimator to their team.

This is a great opportunity to join a growing business working on a range of mechanical and M&E projects, with a good balance of office and home working.

The Role

As Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates and tenders for mechanical projects.

Your duties will include:

• Preparing mechanical estimates and tenders.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Producing accurate quotations and pricing.
• Obtaining and reviewing subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Carrying out take-offs and material pricing.
• Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors and clients.
• Identifying project risks, costs and potential variations.
• Supporting the commercial and project teams through the tender process.
• Ensuring tenders are submitted accurately and within deadlines.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Estimator with a strong background within M&E / Building Services.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience estimating mechanical projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services.
• Good understanding of drawings and specifications.
• Strong commercial awareness.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.

• £55,000–£75,000 depending on experience
