Mechanical Fitter

AVRS Systems Ltd, part of the Galliford Try Group, is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters to join its growing team on a permanent, full-time basis.

Working across the North West, Southern Water, Anglian, and Thames regions you will safely complete installation works to high quality standards, comply with health and safety requirements, and support the development of apprentices and improvers. 

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical installation works in line with client specifications, project requirements, and safety standards.
• Promote and maintain a positive health and safety culture.
• Ensure all work meets quality and compliance standards.
• Support and mentor apprentices and mechanical improvers.
• Work collaboratively within a site-based installation team.

Requirements

• Relevant mechanical trade qualification.
• Industrial mechanical installation experience.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and work independently.
• CSCS or CCNSG card.
• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

• Water industry experience.
• SSSTS, EUSR Water Hygiene, PASMA, IPAF, or Confined Space certification.
• First Aid qualification and fitness-to-work medical.
