This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-technology business, working on the assembly, installation, and maintenance of advanced simulator systems.

The Role

As a Mechanical Build / Fitter Engineer, you will play a hands-on role in the assembly of precision mechanical sub-assemblies and the integration of complete simulator systems.

Working closely with engineering and design teams, you will ensure every build is completed to the highest standards, with a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.

A significant part of the role will involve travel and working away from home, supporting simulator installations and modifications both in the UK and at client sites internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble precision mechanical sub-assemblies and integrate them into complete simulator systems.
  • Interpret and follow detailed assembly drawings, build instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Ensure all assemblies are completed to the required quality standards and tolerances.
  • Work closely with engineering and design teams to identify and resolve build challenges.
  • Provide practical feedback to improve designs, build processes, and overall system performance.
  • Support the installation, modification, and commissioning of simulator systems at customer sites.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date build, installation, and maintenance documentation.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and professional workshop environment.
  • Represent the company professionally when working at customer sites in the UK and overseas.
