Mechanical Fitter in Buckinghamshire

My client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Assembly Engineer to join our established engineering team in Buckinghamshire. The primary focus of this role is the assembly, fitting and build of high value electrical / mechanical industrial machines. You will work alongside an experienced team in a supportive environment with opportunities to contribute to complex machinery builds. Their ideal candidate will have previous machine build, fitter, strip down and repair machinery experience.

Mechanical Fitter role: 
The successful Mechanical Fitter will report to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
•    Mechanical and electrical assembly and build of high value electrical / mechanical industrial machines machinery. 
•    Fit and install mechanical components including bearings, crankshafts and drive systems. 
•    Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. 
•    Support machine testing, commissioning and final assembly. 
•    Work alongside multiskilled colleagues, although the majority of the role is mechanical. 
•    Maintain high standards of quality, safety and workmanship. 
•    Occasional travel for installation, commissioning or customer support. 
•    Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am to 5:30pm with a 30-minute lunch break 

Mechanical Fitter requirements:
•    Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Fitting background 
•    Experience building, assembling, maintaining or fitting industrial machinery 
•    Ability to read engineering drawings 
•    Strong hands-on mechanical skills 
•    Team-oriented approach 

Mechanical Fitter package: 
•    £45k basic salary plus overtime opportunities 
•    Discretionary annual bonus of up to £5,000 based on company performance 
•    4 day working week Monday to Thursday
•    25 days holiday plus statutory holidays 
•    Private pension after 3 months with 6% employer contribution and minimum 3% employee contribution
